Fueled by Americans’ evolving infatuation with Japanese cuisine,
culture and tastes, sushi, continues to gain popularity in the
United States. Hapa Sushi Grill & Sake Bar takes this fun,
healthy and artful dining tradition and turns it into a high-volume,
profitable new franchise concept.
Hapa Sushi Grill & Sake
Bar is where Tokyo meets New York. We capture the cosmopolitan
edge of the finest upscale sushi bars, and add an American
twist to create a blend that is uniquely Hapa.
Founded in 1999, Hapa
is a recognized brand of Japanese-American casual dining
restaurants. The name Hapa comes from the Hawaiian word
for “half,” a term that describes Hapa’s
dynamic blend of Asian and American cultures. Our food
is the centerpiece-based on traditional Japanese dishes,
then amplified, muted or mixed with influences of many
different styles of cuisine. The Hapa menu is innovative,
uninhibited and distinctly fun.
Hapa caters to everyone
from young hipsters looking for a great night out to world
travelers with adventurous palates, a busy lunchtime crowd,
vegetarians, children and families. Hapa’s clever
advertising, word-of-mouth buzz from loyal customers and
recognized logo has put our brand on the map.

Everyone remembers there first time at Hapa. The minimalist design,
bold colors, lively music, boisterous crowd and unforgettable
food create a multi-sensory dining experience. Our attention
to detail makes every meal memorable.

Sushi shouldn’t be intimidating – it represents the
majority of Hapa’s food sales. Our sushi expertise and elaborate
menu help customers explore the exciting world of sashimi, nigiri
and sushi rolls. The “beginner” section of our menu
lists a variety of delicious choices for someone new to sushi,
who wants to start slowly. “Intermediate” selections
go a little further for a more developed sushi palate. “Hapa
Original” push the limits with unforgettable names and flavor
combinations. Vegetarian diners have their own section of the sushi
menu with a variety of fish-less choices.

Sushi is only part of the fun. House and traditional appetizers,
grilled dinner entrees, Hapa noodle bowls. Japanese curries,
salads and imaginative desserts round out a meal at Hapa

Half of Hapa’s liquor sales are sake. Sake, the traditional
rice wine indigenous to Japan, is taking America by storm with
tremendous profit potential. Sake drinking has quadrupled here
is the last decade as more Americans become acquainted with one
of the most natural beverages on earth.
Hapa specializes in sake, with one of the largest collections of
any restaurant in America. We share our love for sake through our
informative sake menu. Hapa’s popular sake flights give diners
the fun of sampling and sharing four excellent sakes for $12 or
$13. We also offer a full bar, wine list and a branded Hapa beer
made from rice.
